                       Parent Teacher's Council General Body Meeting for the year 2011-12 was held in dining hall at 11.30 a.m. on 13.08.2011. The meeting was chaired by Mr. G J Sakrates, Principal, JNVDK.  All the teaching and non-teaching staff attended the meeting.  Almost all the parents have attended the meeting. Mr. Kusumadhar D.S, TGT Kannada had taken up Master of Ceremony and Mr Gangaraju R.O , Librarian welcomed the gathering followed by self introduction of staff members.


  Mr. Rukmayya Gowda and Mr.  K Mahalinga Bhat PTC members addressed the gathering.  Mr. Suresh Shetty PTC member presented the annual expenditure of PTC for the year 2010-11. Annual Expenditure Statement of PTC Account for the year 2010-11.

Chair addressed the gathering  about the following points: and selected  15 parent representatives for the academic year 2011-12.

2011-12:

  1. Rs. 5000/- paid by Mr. Sadashiva Acharya, F/o. Sushmitha, Class VI (2009-10 batch)
  2. Mr. Krishna Prasad, F/o. Mast. K. Samanth Bhat of Class VII A has sponsored Adike Patrike magazine for a period of 5 years.
  3. Mr. Venkatesh Krishna Sharma, Bantwal well-wisher of Vidyalaya has donated variety of plants for the beautification of Vidyalaya campus.
  4. India Now Foundation, Udupi has donated 150 Nos of spiritual books to the library.
  5. Mr. A. Gopal Poojari, F/o. Rathan Kumar.G. of Class IX has donated Cannon Camera worth of Rs. 8725/-.
  6. 40% of Parents of Class VII, VIII, IX,  and XII have contributed Rs. 1000/- each for the development of the Vidyalaya.

          Rs. 1500/- each collected from Class IX Lateral Entry and Class XI for the Vidyalaya’s development. For the academic year 11-12 Rs.1,000/ is being contributed by all the parents.

  2. 15 representatives to be nominated by General Body of parents in proportion to the sections in the Vidyalaya with a male-female ratio of proportionate strength of boys and girls.

Aims and objectives.

  1. To maintain continuous interaction between parents and teachers/ Authorities.
  2. To involve the parents in the development of the Vidyalaya by utilizing their experiences.
  3. To assist the Vidyalaya for resource mobilization and development for infrastructure facilities and their maintenance.
  4. To popularize the advantages of residential culture in terms of academic excellence, character buildings and discipline.
  5. Liaison with the organizations engaged with community service programme through participatory activities of children, parents and teachers.
  6. And ultimately to develop a network of alumni and their parents to help the institution affectively to play the pace setting role.
  7. Counseling for emotionally disturbed children.
  8. Providing medical treatment to the sick children by way of financial, material and moral support if need arises.
  9. The focus of PTC should not be for fault pointing instead the discussion and decisions in these meetings should center round the safety, security, welfare, academic excellence an development of the personality of the child.
